Formative Feedback – and what we need to do
We will have to give feedback on the video drafts that we submitted.
Affirmative feedback – using one single sentence that is structured according to this formula: what worked for me? As an X I need Y. Also feedbackers pose questions and the you cannot answer yes or no. We need to give the strengths and weaknesses of the context, connectivity and complexity. We need to be supportive of each other and also benefit each other to make them incredible presentations.
We as people we love patterns, and it’s useful to be consistent.
Feedback given to me for my video: A bit more of the culture outside of me, to give more context of my work. Maybe the video length should be shorter. At the beginning of the video I was emphasizing on Dubai accepting different cultures, I need to show. Different roles, what is my different roles in terms of the conclusion. Is your context about being hyphenate? maybe? Who am I ? What do you choose not to say, what do you choose not to share
Twila short “the creative habit” – she’s a dancer, when she is making work, it has to have spine. Basically I have to organize the the thoughts into structure and whatever doesn’t fit the structure has to go. Where you can save time and energy and where are things unclear? Would be great to explain more about the designs and how they relate to culture and interpret the complexity. Certain elements needs to be highlighted thats very important in the culture. We are the minority in our country and we need to think about how to shed light on the minority. Cultural expectations? this is the onion? What are the stereotypes and how do we work with that ? A citation at the end is a must if we use anything that is not ours.
What are systems thinking? Google: “In short, “systems thinking is about investigating what set of factors and interactions are contributing to or could contribute to a possible outcome,” said Steve Brown, deputy director of collaborative learning and strategic insight at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).”
What are the 5 concepts of systems thinking?
In this short article, Leyla Acaroglu explains six of the most important key themes in systems thinking: interconnectedness, synthesis, emergence, feedback loops, causality, and systems mapping. This is an excellent primer if you feel overwhelmed or uncertain when you hear these words.
What is the systems model of thinking?
System 1 thinking is a near-instantaneous process; it happens automatically, intuitively, and with little effort. It’s driven by instinct and our experiences. System 2 thinking is slower and requires more effort. It is conscious and logical.
Systems are dependable – cause and effects – e.g our ecosystems and us bedding with it and the effect is very severe.
